My name is Shaun and I am the director and proud owner of Auto Bodyworx.
I first started in the bodywork industry in 2009, where I trained as an apprentice to become a panel beater. Once qualifying as a panel beater I chose to further my skill set by training as a paint sprayer in 2011 where I gained my NVQ level 3 and achieved a senior ATA accreditation.
From here, I then began working at Thatcham Research as a paint engineer within the research centre before moving into Thatcham Automotive Academy as a paint trainer and assessor.
After 7 years of being workshop based i decided to take my experience mobile and worked for a company called Shine for a following 4 years. During my employment with Shine, I began as a paint technician, working my way up to a senior technician, followed by working in the quality assurance team and finally becoming a team leader, managing a team of 7 technicians.
In 2020, I set up a company called Smart Sprayz with a friend and work colleague. Myself and David built a well trusted and highly recommended repair service in our local area, leading to our company winning
NWN Best In Business Award 2023.
With our company being very successful, I decided I wanted to challenge myself by breaking away, starting a new business venture and becoming fully independent by setting up Auto Bodyworx in June 2024.
Auto Bodyworx began as a mobile repair service in Wiltshire and Berkshire and will continue to be. My next steps in my long-term plan are already underway as I have secured a workshop and fully equipped it with a spray booth which will allow Auto Bodyworx to gain a BSI10125 approval and become fully approved for all insurance company's and manufacturers.
